So I know that most linux/unix guru's like to stick with the command line.... But sometimes some people want to have a gui. This is a script that will install FreeNX on your Ubuntu Server. You will need the nxclient package available here. Make sure you pick the client.

So I figured since some people have had problems using my other guide I would make a script so it would be as easy as possible.The only thing you will need to do is enter a username and password.

I have put together a script that will install Asterisk and all needed components as well as Free PBX.

The scipt can be found here.

First install Ubuntu Server 10.04 x64 edition with SSH Server.

Copy the script to the server. and edit the password variable to your own. This will be the root password for you mysql install.

When you run the script it will ask you for the mysql password make sure it is the same as in the script variable.

I have created a Virtual Box Disk Image for people to download and use. I know that the Asterisk install isn't the easiest thing to do.

This is a torrent download. So you will have to know how to use a torrent client.

You will also have to have some knowlegde of virtual box. Just make a new virtual machine and use this disk.

The username is: randystech

Password: Password1

root password is: Password1

Mysql root password is: Password1

All you have to do is configure your trunk and extensions.
